Animal Rescue

Please rescue and adopt, don’t buy.  With so many pets seeking their forever home, do the right thing and rescue.  So many advantages to rescuing a pet from vet checked with health concerns to reduced adoption costs.  Rescues will normally spay and neuter prior to releasing to a newly adopted home.  In addition, many are fostered and have received training.  You’ll also have the resource of the Rescue or Foster home for continued training.   Also, consider adopting an older pet, not a puppy.  Many of these older pets are beyond wonderful as they are more calm and can be easier to train, and most are forever grateful that you will take them home to love them and embrace them into your family.

Google for a local rescue in your area, and/or if you have a specific breed in mind, there are rescues who may focus on size and/or breed.  Also an excellent source to is Petfinder.com.  There are so many pets awaiting their forever homes.
